Experience

Engineering Project Manager, Kemitek- 2023 to present

Trilingual, Dr Castellanos has over 13 years’ experience in academic R&D. After a PhD in chemical engineering, where he worked on catalysis and sustainable processes, he completed two postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Sherbrooke. The first, under the supervision of Prof. Nadi Braidy, was carried out in the Functional Nanomaterials Laboratory, where he studied the synthesis and application of multifunctional nanomaterials in sustainable processes. The second postdoctoral internship (Pre. Bruna Rego de Vasconcelos) was carried out at the Biomass Technology Laboratory, where he carried out the life cycle assessment (LCA) and the techno-economic analysis (TEA) of technologies for converting electricity and CO2 into fuels (Power-to-X). He joined Kemitek’s team in 2023.
